When to Visit Ladakh

Ladakh in northern India is one of the best places on Earth to see snow leopards in the wild. The winter months from December to March offer the highest chance of snow leopard sightings as they descend to lower valleys following ibex herds. Summer (June-September) opens the mountain passes and brings migratory birds to high-altitude wetlands.

Peak Season December - March (snow leopard) & June - September (summer wildlife)
Avoid October - November (transition, limited services)
