Voluntarily Provided

• Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Contact form data — name and email if you contact us.
• Safari referral request data — name, email, destination, dates, budget, group size, optional message, consent version, source page, and submission time when you use the safari-planning request. Do not include passport numbers, payment details, medical records, login credentials, or other sensitive information.

• To earn affiliate commissions that fund this free resource.

4. Third-Party Services

We use DigitalOcean-hosted application infrastructure to receive safari referral requests, Resend to send transactional confirmations and opted-in newsletters, and Slack to notify the site team that a referral request needs review. If a suitable match is available, the request may be shared with an independent safari-planning partner such as Safari.com. That partner will process any information it receives under its own privacy policy and may act as a separate data controller.

Affiliate networks and merchants may receive referral and device data when you follow a marked affiliate link. We may earn a commission from a resulting booking or purchase. We do not sell the personal details entered into our forms.

5. Data Retention

• Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
• Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.
• Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months.
• Safari referral request records are retained on our application service for up to 90 days, then removed by the request-processing service. The form does not retain the request in your browser's local storage. Transactional email and internal notification providers may retain delivery or security logs under their own policies.
