The best time to visit Komodo National Park is April to December during the dry season. July to August offers the best diving visibility at 20 to 30 metres and peak manta ray activity.
Dry season temperatures are 26 to 33 degrees Celsius with low humidity. The wet season from January to March brings occasional heavy rain and rougher seas.
January to March (wet season) has fewer tourists and lower liveaboard rates. Travelling during shoulder or low seasons can save you 20 to 40% on accommodation and tours while still providing excellent wildlife viewing.
Peak season at Komodo National Park is July and August with the highest tourist numbers. Book accommodation and tours well in advance for peak dates, as popular lodges and camps sell out months ahead.
